Maiden's Rock is the ancestral home of House Goldencroft. Located in central Castonia, it is the capital of the Heartlands. It is a major hub of interior trade and the starting point of the annual pilgrimage known as the Maiden's Journey.

Oakenheart is the ancestral seat of House Wermōd. Raised to the status of Great House in the wake of Redgrave's Rebellion, the Wermōd's and their formidable castle now ensure the King's peace in the Southlands.

Candlehold, the seat of House Blæse and capital of the Meadowlands, is a white-walled fortress built around an enormous lighthouse, known as the Candle. Built by the longforgotten makers of Blackstone, Bastion, and Raven's Hill, it has since been repurposed to suit the needs of House Blæse.

Kelpie Hall is the ancestral seat of House Selwyn and the new capital of the Hinterlands, having replaced the traitorous House Redgrave of Bloodstone. The castle sits in the forest Brécheliant, which is vastly unexplored and home to many myths and legends.
